Kayak Croatia’s coastline along the Adriatic Sea
With over 1,200 islands, Croatia has one of Europe’s largest archipelagoes, making it a perfect destination for a paddling adventure!
Our trip along the northern Dalmatian coast offers superb coastal paddling, scenic hiking and a rich history and culture to discover. Paddling and hiking ensures a unique way to explore ruins from Illyrian and Roman times, small fishing villages and national parks.
Our first night is spent in Zadar, a vibrant coastal city with many sights to discover. The next day, we catch a ferry to Dugi otok for a five day exploration of the 45km long island known for its’ vineyards, orchards and crystal-clear water. Just south of Dugi otok is the collection of islands that make up the Kornati National Park, a paddler’s paradise with cliffs, caves and coves to explore.
During the second part of the trip we paddle the archipelago adjacent to the Sibenik area and explore the town itself,
with its’ cobblestone streets and medieval architecture. Paddling the natural fjord created by the Krka river is a highlight, as we kayak pass medieval fortifications and the little towns along the river’s course.
Join SSV in Northern Croatia and delight in a paddling playground of stunning scenery and clear aquamarine waters lapping secluded beaches. Time on land is spent discovering a place of deep history and culture, sampling local foods and wines and enjoying the company of your fantastic guide and fellow adventurers.
