Iceland’s most familiar sights are only one part of the story. This 11-day circumnavigation begins and ends in Reykjavik, using Heritage Discoverer as a base to explore the island’s remote fjords, offshore islands, fishing communities and wildlife-rich coasts.

A complete circuit reveals the contrasts that define Iceland: waterfalls pouring from high plateaus, black volcanic beaches, glacier-cut mountains, geothermal landscapes and long northern summer light.

The optional kayaking programme brings the scale of Iceland’s coast into sharper focus. Conditions permitting, paddle beneath mountains and waterfalls, along bird cliffs and into sheltered fjords with SSV guides. The exact paddling locations are chosen during the voyage.

With the kayaking option, the surcharge includes the use of a drysuit, all paddling and kayak equipment, and the services of a professional SSV sea kayak guide during the voyage.
