Kayak-Yacht Trips

Using traditional sail boats as our private base-camp gives us the flexibility to travel greater distances with the treat of paddling empty kayaks each day.

We are excited to offer trips aboard Jakaré in Raja Ampat and on Aurora-Arktika in Iceland/Greenland and Vila Vrgade in Croatia.

The graceful Jakaré

In 2020 we will offer trips on Jakaré, a beautiful Indonesian style ship that combines this delightful traditional design with modern western luxuries and comfort. The vessel is 30m long with two white painted masts, an elegant bowsprit and sweeping white curved sides. It was built between 2015 and 2017 by local shipbuilders who created a vessel purpose built for tropical holiday cruising.

On the top deck there is plenty of room to relax on sofas and enjoy each other’s company in the dining room or find some relaxing space on the rear deck. There is even a solarium and a dedicated yoga area. Alcohol is not included in the trip cost but you are welcome to purchase on board.

There are five cabins below deck, providing a range of accommodation for 10 guests. Each cabin has air conditioning and an en-suite. The rear Suite cabin has a unique and beautiful wooden quarterdeck giving direct access to the turquoise waters outside.

There is set up for diving with a diving area with two diving compressors, rental diving equipment and snorkeling equipment is available.

Aurora Arktika

Aurora is a carefully outfitted expedition sailboat, a cutter rigged sloop, 60ft overall length. She has a 120hp diesel engine. Aurora is a former race yacht and has been around the world four times in the Clipper yacht race. Accommodation is seamanlike — simple and utilitarian — but the vessel is very sturdy and spacious.

There are ten single berths, one of which can be turned into a double. The sailboat has good heaters, hot and cold water, good galley and spacious communal areas, two heads (toilets) and one shower. There is 220V electricity to charge batteries and other electronic devices. The vessel was initially fitted out for 15 crew, but can now accommodate 12 people; 2 crew and 10 guests. The boat is equipped according to strict Icelandic regulations in regards to emergency equipment.

Vila Vrgade

Vila Vrgade

Vila Vrgade is an 18m classic two masted caique built in typical turkish Gulet style. It has a 5m beam and 2m draft. The Gulet has comfortable accommodations with 4 cabins and 8 berths and a professional crew who will guide you on your trip. There are showers and toilets in each cabin. The boat has spacious interiors and a comfortable and large cockpit. The dining areas is covered at the rear of the ship.
