Sea kayak Croatia! Over 1100 islands and 1700km of coastline make this Dalmatian playground perfect for paddling. We begin by immersing ourselves in history in the medieval town of Rab and then start paddling between the many limestone islands and along the Croatian coast. Kayaking alongside sheer cliffs, past forested hills, secluded coves and fishing villages is tempered with our daily ritual of cooling off in the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic! We take time out to visit the dramatic Paklencia National Park and paddle down the spectacular Zrmanja river as it cascades over travertine barriers. Campsites are in isolated bays with occasional stays in public campgrounds to freshen up!
History surrounds us from ancient Illyrian times through Roman and later Venetian influence. Medieval forts and castles offer a great contrast to rolling vineyards, waterfront cafes and dry moonlike landscapes. Join us on this kayak exploration through Croatia's secret Dalmatia.
