Southwest Turkey Kayaking: Gulf of Gokova

7 day trip 6 days kayak expedition ~ Grade Moderate

Far from the crowds we explore the small islands, rugged and remote bays and peninsulas of southwest Turkey. Our 6 day paddling expedition is a self-contained journey which begins at Bördubet Bay on the Datca peninsula and follows the coast to the small fishing village/resort of Akyaka. Abundant wildlife, steep cliffs, ancient ruins, small private campsites and daily swims in the crystal-clear water are some of the highlights on this brand new adventure! We will stop at 'Cleopatra's Island', explore the 'Seven Islands' and immerse ourselves in Turkey's ancient history. We limit the group size on this trip to 6 for a very private adventure! MEDITERRANEAN JOURNEYS FOR 2012: We offer a number of different adventures to explore this magical region. For a group of six or more, we can help organise the charter of a gulet, a traditional wooden motor sailor, for a combination of kayaking, hiking and boating. We offer private group departures for all our Turkish itineraries, a wonderful way to holiday with friends and family. Or, for something different, we can organize tailored itineraries including kayak trips from three to eight days in length.
