About Us

As founder of Southern Sea Ventures, it has been my privilege to search the globe for new paddling adventures and I’m thrilled to bring seven new journeys to our 2010 selection. Additionally, we have revamped many of our itineraries. Our new trips include two in Croatia - ten days on a gourmet padding trip and 11 days paddling amongst cliffs, caves and Griffon vultures. One new Turkey trip to the remote Southwest, a newly designed trip in Panama and fantastic tropical adventure to Palawan in the Phillipines. Two new northern adventures, to Scotland and the Faroe Islands and a long exploration of the Norwegian Coast combined with Spitsbergen. In 2010 we are pleased to be able to cater for a wide range of private trips in Turkey, Fiji, Croatia, Australia and Tonga. Bring your own group and we can help you put together your own private adventure.

Our wide selection of sea kayaking adventures enables us to offer trip to suit all levels of ability from novice to the more experienced paddler. Single participants are welcome and there is generally no single surcharge on camping trips except where specially requested. (Panama, Palawan and Tonga do have a single surcharge) Our guides make the difference with the expertise to ensure safe, comfortable holidays, whether you choose a self-contained sea kayaking and camping adventure or paddles from a mother-ship.

Exploring the world’s beautiful places by kayak is a wonderful way to refresh the spirit. The quiet and unobtrusive dip of a paddle is a panacea to life in the modern world. It is our hope that after joining one of our specialist holidays, that you will return home determined to preserve these precious parts of the world in more than just memory.
