As
founder of Southern Sea Ventures, it has been my privilege to search the globe for new paddling adventures. I’m thrilled to bring five new journeys to our 2008 selection, our most diverse program ever!
Our new trips include kayaking along Croatia's Dalmatian Coast, two adventures in the wilds of eastern New Guinea, and north of Japan, paddles through the Kuril Islands and the Kamchatka Peninsula.
In Turkey we have more choices and departures including a walk on the world renowned Lycian Way.
We started operating sea kayak tours in Fiji and Australia in 1988, and have steadily grown to offer a range of camping and ship based tours. Warm water trips include Panama, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Australia, Turkey and Croatia. Cold water trips and polar itineraries aboard Polar Pioneer include Antarctica, South Georgia, the Falklands, Scotland, Norway, the Kurils in northern Japan and the Russian Far East, Kamchatka Peninsula, Spitsbergen and Greenland. Kayaks are an ideal way to explore these intriguing destinations, combining both natural and cultural experiences.
Our wide selection of sea kayaking adventures enables us to offer trip to suit all levels of ability from novice to experienced paddler. Single participants are welcome and there is generally no single surcharge on camping trips. Our guides make the difference with the expertise to ensure safe, comfortable holidays, whether you choose a self-contained sea kayaking and camping adventure or paddles from a mother-ship.
